I'm an IT and cybersecurity professional transitioning from logistics and retail into the tech industry. Currently enrolled in NPower Canada's Junior IT Analyst Program, I'm building hands-on expertise in system administration, networking, and security operations through self-directed lab work and structured training.
My approach is practical: I learn by building. From multi-node VPS architectures to home-lab firewall configurations and DNS-level traffic analysis, I believe the best way to understand security is to operate real infrastructure. I'm working toward my CompTIA Security+ certification and building a portfolio that reflects the kind of work I want to do — infrastructure hardening, network defense, and security automation.

Designed a multi-node network topology with VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and static routing. Simulated inter-VLAN routing and access control lists for traffic segmentation. Extended the network onto Tailscale's mesh topology with zero-trust architecture across multiple nodes.
DNS Tracker & Ad Blocking
Hosted an open-source DNS resolution solution on a home router to monitor all network traffic. Configured automatic tracker and malware blocking. Built internal log collection and analysis pipeline to identify traffic patterns and anomalies on the home network.
Home Lab — Firewall & Security Hardening
Deployed multiple cloud Linux servers running containerized services via Docker. Conducted STRIDE threat modeling analyses on the infrastructure to identify security gaps. Hardened servers with SSH key-only authentication, UFW firewall rules, automatic security updates, and scheduled backups.
